Winter Solstice & Grand Conjunction Ritual
On Monday December 21, 2020 on the Winter Solstice, the grand conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will take place. This is the closest, brightest, and most visible grand conjunction in nearly 800 years. Jupiter is about the expansion of the mind in the search of real freedom. Saturn is about structure and discipline. Thus, when this conjunction occurs, “they don’t just inspire our collective imagination, but they give us the tools and discipline we need to make those visions into a reality.”
This is a great time to meditate, do a vision board and conscious journaling. Hence, meditate, develop and work your plan.
The shortest day of the year is the winter solstice and is marked by the zodiac sign of Capricorn. It is during the winter solstice where cultures around the world depict the death and rebirth of the sun god. In fact, the Winter Solstice was associated with hades (hell) and the Summer Solstice in Egypt was associated with the star Sirius and the flooding of the Nile River.
The vertical axis that’s formed between Cancer (Summer Solstice) and Capricorn (Winter Solstice) was depicted as a pole or column. This was the djed pillar in the ancient Egyptian mythos. Thus, Cancer would be at the top of the column (or pole) and Capricorn would be at the bottom. It is here at the Winter Solstice where the light of the sun dies (shortest light hours of the year) and three day later is reborn. This column or pole in you is the spine.
Consecration before the ritual:
Create a sacred space
Before you start your meditation say the following three times mentally.
Olodumare God, I consecrate to you here and now totally and unconditionally all the fruits and karmic effects of this spiritual bath and heart meditation that I do during the grand conjunction for the opening of my heart and awakening of consciousness for the fulfillment of my purpose and destiny.
The Winter Solstice Grand Conjunction Ritual
1. Light the white seven-day candle
2. Run a warm bath with Sea Salt, Lavender, Peppermint, Sandalwood, & Rosemary (essential oils will work).
3. Burn Frankincense & Myrrh incense
4. Light the tea lights where you’re taking your spiritual bath
5. Get in the bathtub and cleanse yourself and meditate in the spiritual bath.
Go back to you sacred space
6. Go within, invoke, and meditate on your inner consciousness to bring you the necessary resources, people, and clarity that will help you fulfill your purpose and destiny.
Guided Meditation:
Take three deep breaths
Inhale and Exhale.
Inhale .. when you get to the end of your inhale focus slightly above your head (in this case Sirius, and Cancer) for a split second. Then Exhale. When you get to the end of your exhale, focus on your root chakra (Capricorn) for a spilt second.
Inhale .. when you get to the end of your inhale focus slightly above your head for a split second Then Exhale. When you get the end of your exhale focus your root chakra (Capricorn).
Continue the cycle over and over again
